As she prepares to release her new album “Back To The Woods” next week, Angel Haze gives us one more taste with the release of her brand new single, “Moonrise Kingdom”. This one is a larger than life type of record, that brings more of her pop roots to the forefront. Although you won’t find her usual hard bars on this on, you can be sure her fans will still enjoy this one, as she sings of a love doomed from the start. Look for the project to officially drop on September 14th. Hip-Hop Rumors: Did Angel Haze Fake-Leak Her Album?

Keeping it real, I don’t know much of anything about this Angel Haze person. But, that’s the point…I kinda do now. The rapper chick from uptown tried to leak her album on SoundCloud yesterday. And before you could say “I got mine,” her label Universal snatched it off the internet. Good for them. You can’t let these sla…, I mean artists, get away with bucking the system. I mean, they took it off so fast that there’s not even a leak coming up in google. The shut down happened so swiftly, that rumors started to swirl that this was just a publicity stunt to get us talking about the December 30 release date of Dirty Gold, her debut album. HEY! Did I just fall for the okey doke? I think I did. Anyway, I’m not mad. She’s talented and deserves to be heard just like anybody else. And, Beyonce stans…everybody ain’t trying to be Beyonce! Just because somebody leaks an album, they are not trying to be like Mrs. Carter, or Female Jesus or whatever you call B, b. Here is what Haze said on Twitter: “My labels didn’t think that I would do it, but I did. It’s hard to put at risk everything I’ve spent this year working on but I had to. For both me and you guys. No one should ever be afforded the opportunity to f**k with your dreams. REGARDLESS OF WHO THEY ARE. They do not own you or your faith or your future and because of what you guys helped me show them. Two young femcees that have been making waves the last couple of years got together to remake Jay-Z and Kanye West’s 2011 hit song “Otis” off Watch The Throne. Hustle Gang’s Iggy Azalea and Detroit native Angel Haze have been putting in work to create their buzz for their individual music, but now the only two females to ever make XXL’s Freshman Class list have decided to build together for at least one track.
