(AllHipHop News) Rapper, mogul, and newly anointed father, Jay-Z, has signed a multi-year deal with Duracell to be the face of their new product, the wirelessly charging Duracell Powermat JV. The announcement was made earlier this week in Las Vegas, where the 2012 International CES Tradeshow is currently taking place and Duracell, alongside Powermat, are debuting their new line of wireless products. Jay-Z said in a statement released yesterday, “I believe in the future of wireless energy, and I believe that Duracell Powermat is the company to bring on the revolution. I’m partnering with Duracell Powermat because they’re providing the solutions for the future.” CEO of Powermat Technologies, Ron Poliakine, said the following about the deal they brokered with the rapper: “Jay-Z is power personified. He inspires millions of people all over the world on a daily basis with his music and his story. There is no better face or voice that can move people to adopt a new paradigm in power delivery.” Jay-Z will not only be the company’s new spokesperson; he has signed on as an investment partner of the company as well.
