Chainz interpolated lyrics from the group’s “Black Ice” for his own cut. Cee-Lo, Khujo, T-Mo, and Big Gipp also heavily influenced Lil Wayne. The YMCMB rapper revealed he started listening to music by Goodie Mob as a young teenager. “My homeboy C.T. – that’s one of Mack [Maine’s] good homeboys – he put me on it back in the seventh grade. He had me listening to that sh-t every day,” said Wayne. “It changed my life. I started rapping about different things and found out that it was okay to rap positive.” [ALSO READ: Goodie Mob’s Big Gipp Praises Kendrick Lamar & J.
