Continuing to apply pressure Detroit rapper Icewear Vezzo delivers an absolute banger with “Richer Than My Opps.” He’s made and paid and he’s got the ears of the streets after his most recently successful release Rich Off Pints 2.
OriJinal Shotta is here to stay and his latest with Icewear Vezzo is hitting people in all the right places – from the internet to the trap.
“Directions” is a nice intro for New Orleans’ own 504Yung,
Icewear Vezzo has waded into the ongoing discussion about the development of the Rap game over the years. The game has shifted from its origins and audiences have accepted the progression as they have in wider society in general. The rapper sat down with “VladTV” and was asked about a previous interview where he said: “Every street code has been broken in the Rap game.” He expounded upon that comment and went further saying, “You got ni**as that’s rappin’ that told,” referring to “snitches” being successful in the industry. “Ain’t no way around it. Ni**as told. You got ni**as that’s rappin’ that’s just, that’s attracted to the opposite gender and…” Vlad interrupted him to ask if he meant to say “the same gender.” He continued, “same gender. That ain’t even nothin’ I would be judgmental over. I’m comfortable with who I am. I’m not…I don’t care about…you get what I’m sayin’? That sh*t don’t mean nothin’. I’ll talk to anybody. I don’t care how you look, how you dress, who you like, what’s your type. I don’t care,” Vezzo continued. “But we talkin’ ’bout Rap, right? So, you know what I mean, it’s just been broken.” The Detroit rapper also talked about artists who shun the people who supported them on the come up in favor of those who might be able to get them to the top. “I could go on for days,” said Vezzo. “Absolutely every code of the streets have been broken in the Rap game. That’s why they not the same. They two different things. But the consequences and what comes, the same sh*t that comes with the streets, it comes with rappin’.” Vlad appears to attempt to draw him into saying something controversial about Lil Nas X “that sh*t’s just life. I mean at the end of the day if everybody just focused on who they are, sh*t would be different.” The DrankGod recently dropped a video for his new single “Chamber Brothers”
Today Lonestar State rapper, Roadrun CMoe delivers his new single “Star Playaz” ft Icewear Vezo KrispyLife Kidd and Louie Ray. The new single is accompanied by a lively video that pictures Roadrun CMoe draped in Versace as he Icewear Vezzo and his crew stunt in the club popping bottles and living the lavish Dallas life. Icewear Vezzo starts off the song delivering a virtual blicky in the face of haters as they stroll in the club. Also featured on the song is KrispyLife Kidd and Louie Ray who deliver menacing verses as they rap over a Detroit heavy beat that is all gas and no brakes like the Pistons. “I got a relationship with a couple of Detroit artists. Everything really was genuine. So they pulled up to the city already. And then we just put that together right there. I met with a lot of artists out of Detroit. So I’m actually putting together a whole Detroit Roadrunner compilation tape right now. Like there’s Vezzo, Babyface Ray, G.T. a couple more people too,” Roadrun CMoe said of his upcoming compilation. When asked about the Dallas rap scene and how things have been shaping up for rappers on the scene, Roadrun CMoe said that the city had some momentum but its been tough to tell lately. “I feel like at one point in time, not too long ago, maybe like 5-6 months ago, I felt like we were really making progress in Dallas, we’re really putting some eyes on the city, where now it’s been kind of hard to tell how it’s really moving,” Roadrun CMoe said. “My sound is different. You know, I got more of a trap sound but I call it anti-cap music, you know what I’m saying? You know like, I just… My music is just more like facts, it’s hard to kind of tell, but when you listen to it, everybody kind of talks about the same stuff. So my sound just helps separate myself already. But you know, if you actually tune in to like my lifestyle and stuff and really see what’s going on, it’ll make more sense.” Branding his music as “Anti-Cap” music, Roadrun CMoe is 100% authentic with the music he is putting out. “I want the fans to know that this s### is really going on, its “Anti-Cap” music. I got a well known clothing brand and I got a cannabis brand,” Roadrun CMoe said. “Everybody stay tuned in, if you’re taking the time to listen to this interview, go look up my YouTube channel. It’s Roadrun CMoe I got a lot of fire visuals, you know. Like a lot of entertaining visuals. And my Instagram is Roadrun_CMoe. When you tap in, you’ll find I’m really active. I’m always moving around tapping in with different people and stuff. Yeah, check out the new music, it’s fire.”
It seems like the slow flow is just so remarkable these days – word to Biggie AKA The Notorious B.I.G.. But there’s no question from from Larry June to Curren$y to Jay Worthy there’s a host of artists delivering that clean slow flow. Adding to the mix is Detroit rapper G.T. who drops his EMPIRE/Motion Gang LP entitled, Call Me G.T. The 15 track project is the Detroit artist’s biggest to date. Coming off 2020 full of huge cosigns from Freebandz CEO, Future, Lil Uzi Vert, underground fast riser Larry June, he’s been on a mission. His new 36-minute LP features collaborations from Jetlife’s own, Curren$y, Icewear Vezzo, Peezy, and fellow Wavy Gang partner, Babyface Ray. This full-length collection serves as the perfect springboard for his continuous level up in the industry. G.T. is getting closer to his goals. Standout tracks like “Chosen,” “Joe Montana,” and the Spitta assisted “Fade Away” help document his constant growth as a musician. Call Me G.T. shows the Detroit rapper at his most vulnerable. The passion in his voice bleeds through over some of his most advanced production so far. Consistency is what separates G.T. from the rest of the pack. You would be hard-pressed to find someone who wants to succeed more than him. After being named 1 of Audiomack’s 10 Rappers You Should Know Right Now in February, he’s been prepared to ascend to new heights. G.T. has suffered from a lot of loss in his life, and his album houses all of his pain. This LP served as a perfect way to end the year. Today, his fans can cop the album and check out his impressive merch capsule just in time for the holidays. After dropping his project Merciless, G.T. knew he had to keep up the momentum. Call Me G.T. is a step in the right direction for the exciting Motor City bar spitter.
Icewear Vezzo is one of the hardest rappers to come out of Detroit, and he doesn’t plan on letting up in the slightest. Now, he releases his new project titled Robbin Season 2.
