After being caught up in the controversy involving alleged cheating by her fiancé Nick Young, the Australian rapper is now reportedly in trouble with the IRS. As a result, the “Fancy” performer has been hit with a tax lien. Prior to the news of her financial situation breaking, Iggy performed her latest track “Team” at the iHeartRadio Music Awards. Damon Dash Hit With $2.8 Million Tax Bill

(AllHipHop News) Financial troubles continue to plague executive Damon Dash, who was recently hit with a $2.8 million tax bill. According to TMZ.com, the former Roc-A-Fella Records CEO owes for the years 2005 and 2011. Damon Dash is accused of failing to pay the IRS $2,614,918.10 in 2005, while 2011 shows that he owed $187,544.20. In May, Damon Dash appeared in a Manhattan Court to answer charges that he failed to  pay back a $237,078 loan. [ALSO READ: Hip-Hop Rumors: Is Dame Dash Rich Or Broke] During the court filings, he detailed his financial woes. “I am currently several months behind paying my personal bills,” Damon Dash said in the filing. “For instance, I am currently over $100,000 behind in rent for the only home in which I live and at risk of being evicted.” Damon Dash also has to pay $24,000 every three months to his ex-wife Rachel Roy, $20,000 per-month in garnished wages, $4,341.10 a month for his son Christian and over $40,000 per-month in outstanding tax obligations. “I’m an independent businessman and this is what comes from business,” Dash continued. “I have the guts to fight my battles on my own and it’s entertainment to everybody else because I’m so cool about it.”

More Drama For Mary J. Blige, Singer Hit With $3.4 Million Tax Lien

(AllHipHop News) Even with a national scandal consuming the I.R.S. over the last week, the government agency still continued its pursuit of missing taxes from high-profile citizens. The latest celebrity to have to face the tax man is the Queen of Hip-Hop Soul, Mary J. Blige. According to TMZ, Blige is being accused of not paying all of her federal taxes in 2009, 2010, and 2011. The I.R.S. says that the “I’m Goin’ Down” singer owes a total of $3,426,255.43. Blige’s financial troubles also include over $900,000 in back taxes owed to the state of New Jersey, and in February the Grammy winner was sued for allegedly defaulting on a $500,000 loan from Bank of America. Prior to that lawsuit, she and her husband were accused of defaulting on a $2.2. million Signature Bank loan in November of 2012. Blige’s federal tax issues became public two weeks after Lauryn Hill, her duet partner on “I Used To Love Him,” was sentenced to three months in prison for unpaid taxes.
