Odd Future Announce “Camp Flog Gnaw Tour” And Dates For Camp’s Upcoming Releases
(AllHipHop News) The Odd Future camp has announced details for their upcoming 22-date North American tour, as well as revealed dates for a number of the collective’s upcoming releases. Although no venues have been named, the “Camp Flog Gnaw” tour will kick off August 31 in Norfolk, Virginia and will continue to hit cities such as Baltimore, Philadelphia for the Made In America Festival, Portland, Chicago and Vancouver before coming to a close during the group’s Odd Future Carnival on September 30 in Los Angeles, California. Regarding upcoming releases from Odd Future, the first will come in the form of Domo Genesis’ No Idols mixtape which is being entirely produced by The Alchemist and features the likes of Earl Sweatshirt, Action Bronson and more. Following No Idols, MellowHype, which consist of members Hodgy Beats and Leftbrain, will release their third album Numbers on October 2. One week after Numbers drops, Odd Future’s newest signees Trash Talk will release 119 followed by Tyler, the Creator’s second studio album Wolf sometime in November. Odd Future’s Adult Swim Sketch-Show, “Loiter Squad,” Renewed For Second Season
(AllHipHop News) Odd Future’s sketch comedy show, “Loiter Squad,” will return for a second season on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim, late-night programming block, according to Pitchfork. The first season of “Loiter Squad” premiered in March and has already aired eight of the group’s 15-minute episodes. Although no premiere date was announced at press time, fans can anticipate the show’s second season to air in late summer or early fall. In music news, the Odd Future gang recently released the group’s second compilation record, The O.F. Tape Vol. 2, on March 20, and Tyler the Creator’s follow-up to last year’s solo album Goblin, titled Wolf, is expected to be released this summer. In addition, O.F. member Earl Sweatshirt is currently working on a number of projects, including a solo album and a collaborative project with Tyler. Odd Future Announce New Album And Tour In March
(AllHipHop News) Odd Future continue to prove that their year of success in 2011 was no fluke, with the announcement of their new compilation album, The OF Tape Vol. 2, as well an upcoming tour for 2012. The album, to be released on Odd Future Records, is set to drop on March 20 and will feature new music from all members of the Odd Future camp including: Tyler, the Creator, Leftbrain, Frank Ocean, Domo Genesis, Hodgy Beats, The Internet, Mike G, and Syd the Kyd. Although not many details about the tour have been released, it has been confirmed that the Odd Future crew will storm through 10 cities during the month of the album’s release, March. Not only will there be shows, there will also be pop-up shops in a similar fashion to the one that opened in Los Angeles last year, at each of the tour stops. In addition to these recent announcements, fans can prepare themselves for the follow-up to last year’s Goblin by Tyler, the Creator as he is currently putting the finishing touches on his second solo album, Wolf, which is set to drop sometime this spring.

(AllHipHop News) Cartoon Network announced via press release today that the live-action Odd Future sketch show, “Loiter Squad”, will premier this March as part of their late-night Adult Swim programming block. The 15-minute show all feature “sketches, man on the street segments, pranks and music from Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All. The cast, featuring the Los Angeles collective of rappers, artists, and skateboarders, channel their multi-faceted creative talents in this off-the-wall showcase.” Viewers can expect most of the Odd Future crew to participate including Tyler, the Creator, Left Brain, Hodgy Beats, Domo Genesis, The Internet, The Jet Age of Tomorrow, Mike G and Frank Ocean. News of the collaboration between Adult Swim and Odd Future first broke in September of last year, when the network announced that it had given the OFWGKTA crew the green light to create a pilot episode: “Loiter Squad is being produced by Dickhouse Entertainment—the Hollywood production partnership of Johnny Knoxville, Jeff Tremaine and Spike Jonze who have been the creative power behind hits including Jackass, Nitro Circus, Rob & Big, Rob Dyrdek’s Fantasy Factory and Wildboyz.”

Left Brain of Odd Future Formally Charged with Assault of Female Photographer
(AllHipHop News) Odd Future rapper Vyron “Left Brain” Turner has been formally charged with assault of a young photographer lastw eek during a show in New Orleans last weekend. Photographer Amy Harris claims that she was assaulted during a show last week in New Orleans, at the Voodoo Festival. Left Brain picked up a misdemeanor charge for hitting Harris in the head, breaking her camera and leaving a mark on her face. The charge carries a sentence of up to six months in jail and maximum fine of $1,000 in the state of Louisiana. While initially it seemed that Amy Harris wouldn’t press charges after statements made on her website. Harris has re-evaluated her stance in a statement posted on her website. “The unexpected turn of events, including an attack by Odd Future on my credibility and motives for discussing the incident, have caused me to re-evaluated my initial decision,” Harris wrote. The concert promoters have even spoken out about this event and have shunned the violence by the group members towards the media. “The VOODOO EXPERIENCE does not in any way condone the behavior of Odd Future towards the approved media assembled in the photo pit during the band’s set yesterday,” promoters said about the event. “Festival organizers would like to apologize to their media guests who experienced and/or witnessed this abusive behavior.” Earlier last week, the group also was removed from New Zealand’s Big Day Out Festival, after promoters said gay rights groups in Auckland were opposed to the group’s controversial lyrics.

Odd Future Booted From Big Day Out Festival Date Over Homophobic Lyrics
(AllHipHop News) Hip-Hop collective Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All has been booted from a date on the Big Day Out festival, over their controversial lyrics. The decision to drop the group was made after local activists in Auckland, New Zealand placed pressure on Big Day Out organizers, in protest of the groups homophobic lyrical content. A letter was written to officials by a local resident, who complained about the group’s offensive lyrics and slurs against gays. The group controls Mount Smart Stadium, which is where the group was scheduled to play during the Big Day Out festival, which is taking place from January 20 to February 5. Other artists slated to perform during the festival include Kanye West, SoundGarden, My Chemical Romance, Girl Talk and others. The news caps off a controversial week for Odd Future. Last weekend (October 30), Odd Future group member Left Brain was accused of assaulting a photographer during Voodoo Experience Festival in New Orleans, although the group vehemently denied those charges.
