DD172 Co-Founder McKenzie Eddy Releases Video For “Windmills” Featuring GLC
You may not recognize her name, yet, but you will. McKenzie Eddy is the co-founder, alongside music mogul Dame Dash and Raquel Horn, of the media collective known as DD172. Not only did she help found the creative conglomerate, Eddy is also the president of BluRoc records, a label that released the last two albums from producer Ski Beatz, as well as 2009’s critically acclaimed Blackroc project which featured rappers Ludacris, Curren$y, Mos Def, and Jim Jones, along with singer Nicole Wray and more, collaborating with Grammy Award-winning duo The Black Keys. Eddy, who is “not just a businesswoman, but also a musician by night,” has been steadily putting out music videos since the Summer 2011 release of her third album, Young Platinum. The album boasted appearances from such artists as Murs, GLC, Cam’ron, Vado, and a slew of others. In her latest music video, “Windmills” which features GLC, the duo stroll through Chicago during some downtime from a past tour. The “Cavi Life” web series is only advertised as “coming soon,” but this looks like a dope way to get an inside look into the life of the DD172 mogul and Roc-A-Fella co-founder. Murray Will NOT Testify! Dr. Conrad Murray, who is currently being tried for manslaughter in the death of icon Michael Jackson, has told a judge that he will not testify in his own defense. Jurors heard from medical experts as testimony concluded yesterday on the case that Murray has plead “not guilty” to. Closing arguments are up next. If convicted, he will lose his medical license and can be sentenced to up to four years in prison. Did he do it? What say you?
