Nicki Minaj Accused Of Bailing On $30K Appearance

(AllHipHop News) The owner of a Dallas nightclub is speaking out against Nicki Minaj, after the superstar rapper allegedly bailed on an after party. According to CW Channel 33, Nicki was slated to appear at Zouk nightclub following her appearance at the Verizon Theatre in Grand Prairie. Promoters are upset because Nicki had a contract and was paid $30,000 to make the appearance at Zouk. But trouble started brewing Sunday, when Nicki tweeted that there was no after party and warned fans to be aware of fake promoters. A rep for the club denied Nicki’s tweets and confirmed they had signed a deal for the rapper to appear. “From my understanding, she was outside, she had shown up, her security had done a walkthrough and she just decided not to come in,” Zouk spokesperson Matt Cislo told Channel 33. Zouk is offering fans a full refund for the canceled show and are weighing their options over the situation.

(AllHipHop News) With two weeks remaining until his solo debut album is released, Def Jam recording artist 2 Chainz has revealed the final tracklisting for both the standard and deluxe editions of Based On A T.R.U Story. The 13-track standard edition of 2 Chainz’ album will feature guest appearances from the likes of Drake, Kanye West, The-Dream, Nicki Minaj, Dolla Boy, Mike Posner, Scarface, John Legend and Cap-1. The Based On A T.R.U. Story deluxe edition will include three additional tracks: “Countdown” featuring Chris Brown, “Like Me”, “I Feel Good”, and “Riot.” Production on the album is expected to come from Mike Will, Sonny Digital, Kanye West, T-Minus, Lex Luger, Hit-Boy, Lil Jon, and many more. 2 Chainz, who is currently on the road opening for Nicki Minaj on the second leg of her “Pink Friday Tour,” will be hitting the road for his own solo tour beginning on August 30 in Norfolk, Virginia. Chris Brown has decided to take his beef with Drake to the studio, and has taken a few lyrical jabs on Drake on a freestlye for Chief Keef’s####, “I Don’t Like” featuring Game. This must be a result of the 24-hour session that Game had with Breezy a few nights ago in L.A. – although Tyga was in that session as well, so I don’t know. Would Tyga have stood by while Breezy dissed his labelmate right in front of him? Hmm. Anyway, Brown’s remix goes after Drake’s eyebrows and implies that the YMCMB star is afraid to fight him on-on-one. D'Angelo's First Televised Appearance In A Decade Happening At 2012 BET Awards

(AllHipHop News) With his recent revival being one of the most talked-about highlights of the 2012 Bonnaroo Festival in Tennessee a few weeks back, BET has announced that D’Angelo will be hitting the stage as a performer on July 1 for the 2012 BET Awards. The platinum-singer’s awards show performance will be the his first live television appearance in over a decade. BET’s President of Music Programming Stephen G. Hill said of D’Angelo’s highly anticipated performance, “Usually, we love to keep surprises…but this year we want EVERYONE watching when D’Angelo takes the stage at the BET Awards!” Hill continued, “His talents have been away from us for far too long, and we’re excited and honored that he’s decided to make his American re-entry at this year’s BET Awards.” Recent additions to the performers list for the 2012 awards show include G.O.O.D. In what some are saying is a straight business move, rumor has it that Lil’ Wayne and Bridman are pressuring Drake to end his beef with Chris Brown asap! According to TMZ, sources close to Drake say Drizzy has received several calls from Weezy, Birdman, Mack Maine, and more – urging the rapper to extend an olive branch to Brown after last week’s nightclub brawl in NYC. The source says that Weeezy is worried about the beef’s effect on his bottom line. Bottom line being that Chris Brown makes hits! And with Breezy being on Nicki Minaj’s single, “Right By My Side” as well as his features on several Young Money artists tracks, including Wayne himself, Weezy is not taking any chances and wants the issue resolved. YES! Rapper and actress E-V-E is headed back to a theater near you, and is currently shooting a new film entitled, Bounty Killer in Los Angeles. Eve tweeted out a few photos of herself on the set over the weekend in full character mode, along with the message, “Me today on set of movie BOUNTY KILLER about to kill someone.” Check out Eve’s zombie warrior swag below: She sure does look a lot like Nick Minaj in this V Magazine photo shoot, doesn’t she? Anyway, I ain’t trying to start nothing! I guess this is the reason why we haven’t seen an album from Eve in over 10 years – she’s getting that Hollywood money. Eve did find time to hit the studio with Swizz Beatz in April. The two released a teaser for the track “Mama’s In The Kitchen” – but we haven’t heard anything else since.
