(AllHipHop News) VH1 is set to air a special this Sunday titled Dear Mama. The Mother’s Day program (which borrows its name from the classic 2Pac song about his mom Afeni Shakur) will feature celebrities paying tribute to their mothers. Black-ish star Anthony Anderson serves as host for Dear Mama.  “We are excited to shine the spotlight on the influential and inspiring women behind some of our favorite celebrities, their moms,” said Amy Doyle, EVP/Deputy General Manager, VH1 in a statement. “Our Dear Mama special event gives our famous friends the stage to salute and thank their moms with their own tributes full of surprises, laughter and love.” [ALSO READ: EXCLUSIVE: Check Out 15 Classic Moments From The VH1 Hip-Hop Honors Shows (2006-2010)] Dear Mama premieres Sunday, May 8 at 9 PM ET/PT on VH1. Check out photos from the red carpet event in New York City below.
