STREAM: REKS’ New Album “REBELutionary” Produced Entirely By Numonics

(AllHipHop News) Tomorrow (July 24) Lawrence, Massachusetts native REKS will release his sixth studio album REBELutionary which was entirely produced by Florida’s own Numonics. REBELutionary, which features the likes of Jon Connor, Koncept and Strong Arm Steady’s Krondon, is the second offering this year from REKS who last released his collaborative album Straight No Chaser with Statik Selektah this past April. “This one is straight up raw, uninhibited, social commentary,” REKS told AllHipHop.com. “It’s something that’s needed for this time and this era and I feel like it’s the kind of album that I’ve never done in this capacity and Numonics was the perfect person to do it with.” You can stream REBELutionary below via HHDX: http://soundcloud.com/orchardmktg/sets/reks-rebelutionary/ REBELutionary will be available tomorrow in all formats via Gracie Productions. REKS Announces "Rebelutionary" Produced By Numonics

(AllHipHop News) Rapper REKS and producer Numonics have teamed to create the new album Rebelutionary, which will be released this July. Rebelutionary follows REKS’ album Straight, No Chaser, with Statik Selektah. On Rebelutionary, REKS and Numonics enlist artists like Jon Conner, Krondon and Termanology. “Numonics is such a talent that I wasn’t concerned about following up Straight, No Chaser so quickly because the recording process was so smooth and I knew it was necessary now,” REKS said. “It was crazy that we could link up together on a project we both felt so passionate about; and one that is essential for today’s climate.” REKS has amassed an impressive resume since his debut album Along Came The Chosen was released in 2001. The rapper has worked with artists like DJ Premier, Large Professor, Sky Zoo, Pete Rock, Freeway, Styles P and numerous others. The latest release from REKS features the rapper commenting on current events and other politically based topics. “REKS and I made Rebelutionary to express the strong social and political views we both share. Inspired by great leaders like Fred Hampton and Malcolm X, the album sheds light on issues that need to be touched on at this time,” added Numonics. “Whether it’s institutionalized racism, or pointing out the hypocrisy of the establishment, REKS paints a vivid picture of the world we live in with this project. I feel blessed to have worked with such a strong and emerging voice in Hip-Hop and his immense talent shines throughout this project.” Rebelutionary is due in stores on July 24.
