Hip-Hop Rumors: Foxy Addresses Rumors Of Joining Wiz Khalifa

I don’t know what this chick is going to do, but Foxy Brown aka The Brown Fox seems to have enough relevance that the house that Wiz built is interested. On the flip side, she never mentioned them by name. So, check out the previous rumor I wrote for that, if you missed it. RELATED: Hip-Hop Rumors: Will Foxy Brown Join Wiz Khalifa? “There have been offers, of course. I’ve only been signed to one label my entire career, which is Def Jam. “My bar is set so high that any label that I go to now has to be an incredible situation for me — financially and spiritually. I’m on this whole maturation journey; I’m a different person. I just picked the mic back up,” she revealed. ” ‘Bandz Up’ was the first record that I did.” – MTV Now, Foxy is working on a new album called, Bandz Up. I don’t know if she’s still on Def Jam at all, but I suggest she run with that deal with Wiz even if its a 360 Raping You Records situation. Lemons become lemonade these days! Rostrum Records Adds Boaz to Roster; Hitting Road With Wiz and Mac Miller

(AllHipHop News) Earlier today (June 1) Rostrum Records, home of Wiz Khalifa and Mac Miller, announced that Pittsburgh native Boaz had been officially added to the label’s roster. Boaz, who has been featured in a number of publications and outlets such as Complex, XXL and The Source, is also an alumni of AllHipHop.com’s Breeding Ground. “It wasn’t a decision that was very hard for me given their track record of developing talented learned musicians into great artists!” Boaz told AllHipHop.com in a statement. “I’ve known the folks over there for sometime and I think it is a good fit for both parties!” Benjy Grinberg, President of Rostrum Records, was excited about signing Boaz. “I’m very excited that Boaz is joining the Rostrum family,” Grinberg said. “I have been a big fan of Bo and his music for many years, and I’m looking forward to working with him in a more substantial way.” The plan is for Boaz to drop his first Rostrum project, Bases Loaded, at the beginning of the summer, followed his official debut later in the year. In addition to the signing announcement, Rostrum revealed that Boaz would be hitting the road with label mates Wiz Khalifa and Mac Miller on their upcoming “Under the Influence Tour,” beginning on July 25th. Mac Miller Leaves 2011 In Rearview As He Preps Three New Projects For 2012

(AllHipHop News) Debuting at #1 on the charts last fall was no small feat for Mac Miller and his independently released debut album, Blue Slide Park, which dropped via Rostrum Records. Mac Miller entered the record books for being the first independent artist since Tha Dogg Pound to debut at #1 in over a decade and this year, he’s planning to top himself with the release of not one, not two, but three full-length projects for his fans. The Pittsburgh MC, who has big expectations for himself, spoke to Billboard recently about his slate of new projects that he intends to drop before the end of the calendar year. “I’m doing three collaborative projects before the end of this year. One is coming out soon, I can’t tell you [about them] but they’re all crazy, they’re all really dope,” Mac said. “I think that’s just what I need to do right now, just explore, and expand, and make music with other people.” “For so long I wanted to do everything myself.” He continued, “I wanted people to know I’m here because of what I did, and not because of a co-sign. Now that I’m here, I’m having so much fun working with people. My mixtape [Macadelic] is filled with ridiculous features, and it’s just fun for me, so I think I gotta do more of that to just expand and grow as an artist.” After a successful 2011, Mac, who is currently on tour, dropped the well-praised mixtape Macadelic last month which showcased the 20-year-old’s lyrical growth and featured the likes of Juicy J, Lil Wayne, Casey Veggies, Sir Michael Rocks and Kendrick Lamar. “Macadelic is where I’m at right now. I think that’s what’s great about the mixtape game, it’s from the artist. Just from me to you. We made it, we mixed it, and we put it out the next day, so it’s real raw. That’s just how I love my music. If I didn’t have mixtapes, I don’t think people would’ve known who I was.” Mac also spoke briefly on the follow-up to Blue Slide Park and said, “It’s really just working and figuring not only how I can do that again, but do better than that.” You can catch Mac Miller at one of 15 remaining cities near you on his currently-running “Macadelic Tour” before he heads overseas for the next leg of his “Blue Slide Park Tour.”
