Puff Daddy Talks Signing His Son Christian Combs To Bad Boy Records

(AllHipHop News) Last week, Christian Combs announced he signed a new label deal with Bad Boy Records/Epic Records. The youngest son of Sean “Puff Daddy” Combs is grabbing the baton from his father as he steps into the role of being a music artist. [ALSO READ: Puff Daddy’s Son Christian “King” Combs Signs Deal With Bad Boy/Epic Records] Puff Daddy stopped by Hot 97’s Ebro In The Morning, and the native New Yorker spoke about adding his own child to his Bad Boy roster. “I never been in the studio with my son and I never gave him a beat… He’s been wanting to be a rap artist since he was three,” said Puff Daddy. “It was like a bidding war for him. I told him where I was going. I said you have a decision. You could go and meet with these people, and he decided to go with me over at Epic.” Puffy added, “[Christian is] the only person I know that’s flyer than me. He’s my hero. I have to watch him sometimes to get my swag back. He’s such a gentlemen, works hard, and his records are undeniable. He represents New York.” Christian is likely to be in attendance for the highly anticipated Bad Boy Family reunion concert taking place at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on May 20 and 21. Puff Daddy revealed Faith Evans, Lil Kim, Ma$e, The Lox, Total, 112, French Montana, Jay Z, Mary J. Blige, DMX, and more will be hitting the stage that weekend. (AllHipHop News) Christian Combs is joining Corey Gunz, Diggy Simmons, and Jaden Smith as offspring to follow in their famous fathers’ footsteps. Sean “Diddy” Combs’ youngest son is now officially a rapper. The clip features the 18-year-old along with Epic CEO L.A. Reid. “Yesterday was the greatest day of my life. Not only was it my birthday, but also the day a dream came true. I got signed to Epic and Bad Boy Records,” wrote Christian on his own IG post. “I’m extremely thankful for everything that God has blessed me with and I will never take it for granted. Music is something that’s been part of me my whole life.” Back in October, Puff Daddy’s Bad Boy entered into an exclusive partnership with Epic Records. Puff Daddy Premieres “You Could Be My Lover” Music Video On Instagram

The rapper/producer/executive used the social media app Instagram to release his new music video for “You Could Be My Lover” featuring Ty Dolla $ign and Gizzle. The “You Could Be My Lover” visual was shared with Puff’s 6.3 million IG followers in parts. The song was included on the Bad Boy leader’s 2015 project MMM.  Fans could possibly see the single on the upcoming No Way Out 2 album. The original No Way Out was released in 1997. The LP went on to sell over 7 million copies in the United States. Derrick “Fonzworth Bentley” Watkins, Puff Daddy’s longtime friend and former personal valet, celebrated the release of his mentor’s video on his own Instagram page.
