Kid Cudi Debuts New Song “Mad Solar” During Set On Jimmy Kimmel
(AllHipHop News) Kid Cudi appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! last night and performed tracks off his upcoming album Indicud including an a capella version of a brand new song called “Mad Solar.” During the broadcast the man born Scott Mescudi did renditions of his singles “Immortal” and “Just What I Am” featuring King Chip on an outdoors stage. He also broke into a first-time performance of “Mad Solar,” a sing-song tune about dealing with “haters.” Indicud will be Cudi’s third official solo album after 2009’s Man on the Moon: The End of Day and its sequel 2010’s Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager. Both LP’s debuted in the top 4 on the Billboard 200 albums chart and have been certified gold by the RIAA. Kid Cudi also released the collaborative album WZRD with producer Dot Da Genius in February of 2012, and he later appeared on G.O.O.D. Music’s Cruel Summer compilation album that same year. The rapper/singer-songwriter/producer’s latest album will feature Kendrick Lamar, Too $hort, A$AP Rocky, RZA, and Michael Bolton. Erykah Badu and Pharrell To Actually Appear on Tyler, The Creator’s Wolf LP
(AllHipHop News) Last week a tracklist for Tyler, The Creator’s upcoming studio album Wolf was revealed on Amazon. Only problem is the tracklisting was said to be fake. So that meant the collaborations with Erykah Badu, Pharrell, and Dave Matthews that appeared on the leaked list were just wishful thinking. Turns out while Dave Matthews Band fans will not be hearing the rock star on Tyler’s next album, soul singer Erkyah Badu and rapper/super-producer Pharrell Williams will make the final cut. Badu is a guest artist on “Treehome95.” Williams is on “IFHY.” [ALSO READ: Tyler, The Creator Debuts New Jazz-Inspired Song On ‘Late Night With Jimmy Fallon’] The album will also feature many of Tyler’s Odd Future brethren. Songs with Earl Sweatshirt, Hodgy Beats, Domo Genesis, Jasper Dolphin, Taco Bennett, and Left Brain are confirmed to be on the project. OFWGKTA member Frank Ocean will also appear on two cuts; “Escape-Ism” and “Bimmer” with Laetitia Sadier from the indie rock band Stereolab. Lil Wayne Adds More Tracks To ‘I Am Not A Human Being II’
(AllHipHop News) Earlier this week Lil Wayne released the tracklist for his upcoming album I Am Not A Human Being II, and over the last few days the Young Money leader decided to include three more songs to the LP. [ALSO READ: Lil Wayne Releases Tracklist For I Am Not A Human Being II] Besides the already announced songs with collaborators like Nicki Minaj, Gunplay, Soulja Boy, and 2 Chainz, Wayne’s latest album will also include the tracks “Wowzers,” “Hello,” and “Hot Revolver.” On Tuesday, Wayne announced via the website lilwaynehq that he would be rescheduling his planned European tour originally scheduled for this month in order to complete I Am Not A Human Being II. “I am rescheduling to my European tour in order to release my album,” said Wayne in a statement. “I didn’t want my tour or album to be rushed, so despite my best hopes, I have made the decision to push back the tour to October 2013.” The tour was set to launch today in Dublin, Ireland, but apparently Wayne is still adding final touches to his 10th studio album, his first since 2011’s Tha Carter IV. The New Orleans native’s last project was 2012’s Dedication 4 mixtape hosted by DJ Drama. I Am Not A Human Being II is scheduled for release on March 26th. Lil Wayne Releases Tracklist For I Am Not A Human Being II
(AllHipHop News) Lil Wayne has had a pretty rough 2013 so far, but he’s looking to turn it around when he drops his 10th studio album I Am Not A Human Being II. The Young Money rapper took one step closer to his next release when he revealed the tracklist for the LP this weekend. IANAHB II will feature Wayne’s Cash Money labelmates Gudda Gudda, Drake and Nicki Minaj. There will also be songs with contributions from 2 Chainz, Soulja Boy, Gunplay, Juicy J, and Big Sean on the previously released “My Homies Still.” Wayne’s current single “B###### Love Me” featuring Drake and Future (which broke into the top 10 on the singles chart last week) will also be on the album. The Young Money leader previously unveiled the cover art for I Am Not A Human Being II back in January of this year. The artwork was created by Kanye West’s design company DONDA. The original LP is noted as being only the second album to reach number 1 on the Billboard album chart while the lead artist was incarcerated – the first being 2PAC’s 1995 classic Me Against The World.
