Hip-Hop Rumors: Did French Montana Get Bumped From HOT 97’s Summer Jam?
Don’t go crazy just yet! YES, French Montana was bumped from Summer Jam, but it was from Summer Jam 2011! In an interview with the NY Daily News, Bronx native French Montana tells the paper that he was supposed to come out as a surprise guest during Rick Ross’ set last year, but was bumped due to Ross’ set running too long. Check out what he said about the incident below: “I was kinda hurt,” Montana said of the missed chance to perform “Choppa Choppa Down.” But fear not, this year Montana has his own set and he promises lots of surprise guests. “It’s a big thing for me, especially being from New York. It’s the night that everybody talks about,” he said of the concert, adding that over the years, the Summer Jam stage has seen the biggest entertainers, from Jay-Z to Michael Jackson. “It’s going to be the biggest event of the year,” the “Shot Caller” rapper said. Hip-Hop Rumors: Wacka Flocka Says Beef With Wiz Khalifa Started Over A Blunt
Lawda Mercy! Now rappers are beefing because of a blunt! How petty can one be. In a recent interview with MTV’s “POV“, Wacka Flocka says the beef with Wiz Khalifa started when the two were in a studio together, and Wacka claims he gave Wiz three ounces of weed and Wiz couldn’t hang. Somehow the info that Wiz couldn’t keep up with Wacka’s smoking ended up on Twitter, and in his defense, Wiz tweeted, “nah lil’ homie” and Wacka though that was “disrespectful”. Wacka also goes on to say that he is responsible for Wiz’s sound. Check out what he said below: “I gave him [Wiz] a whole CD of Lex [Luger] beats and that’s how he got that sound.” “I ain’t personally give it to him, I gave Lex his stuff and that’s how they hooked up.” Wiz must have heard about the interview with Wacka. Ludacris Releases “1.21 Gigawatts: Back to the First Time” Mixtape
(AllHipHop News) Earlier today (November 15), Atlanta native and Disturbing Tha Peace founder, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, released his new, mostly Southern-fueled mixtape, 1.21 Gigawatts: Back to the First Time. 1.21 Gigawatts is being released following Ludacris’ brief hiatus from music over the past few years to focus on acting. Since 2009, Ludacris has starred in over five films, including Gamer, No Strings Attached, and Fast Five, and he released one musical project, Battle of the Sexes, last year. This should surely hold fans over until his eighth studio album, Ludaversal, is released either in December or early 2012. Containing 12 tracks with production from the likes of Tone Mason, Big K.R.I.T,.
