Trae Tha Truth, Yandy Smith & Porsha Williams Arrested Again At A Breonna Taylor Protest

(AllHipHop News) In July, several people were taken into custody during a demonstration outside the home of Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron. Trae Tha Truth, Yandy Smith, and Porsha Williams were among the individuals arrested for protesting against the police violence that killed Breonna Taylor. The three high-profile individuals were arrested again on Tuesday for demanding justice for the late 26-year-old EMT. After being released, Houston rapper Trae Tha Truth called out Cameron for not arresting the officers – Jonathan Mattingly, Brett Hankison, and Myles Cosgrove – who are responsible for shooting Taylor inside her Louisville home during a botched “no-knock warrant” raid. “[It’s] Crazy How We Keep Gettin Arrested But @danieljaycameron Aint Said Nothing Bout The Cops who Killed #breonnataylor… They will Never Break Us!! We Went From The PattyWagon Back To The Streets!! Oh I Know The End Of This Video P### Them Off Even More… [I’m] Back Free AGAIN … And Its Still #justiceforbreonnataylor ,” wrote Trae on Instagram. Love & Hip Hop: New York star Yandy Smith and The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Porsha Williams also posted about their experiences dealing with law enforcement as they marched in Louisville on behalf of Breonna Taylor. Meanwhile, KY AG Daniel Cameron spoke at the 2020 Republican National Convention on Tuesday from the Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium in Washington, DC.

As the month comes to a close, AllHipHop was excited to get some time with Ms. Parker to hear more about her life as a director in the music and entertainment industry and her journey to becoming a powerful woman in the game. AllHipHop: Explain what your job entails: Shanice Parker: As a director my job entails me providing my clients a layout and strong directing ability to produce the visuals needs of my client whether they are an artist, actor, or reporter. My duty is to produce visual content that not only appeals to the client needs but to also add my expertise so that the visuals can also appeal to their target audience. AllHipHop: What’s the most enjoyable part of the job and your duties:  Shanice Parker: Its always fun to talk to the client to get a clear understanding of what they are looking for and produce a visual that they had in their head come to life. AllHipHop: What is the hardest part:  Shanice Parker: The hardest part of my career is developing a team. It is a difficult task to find people who are just as passionate as you are for what you are striving to accomplish. AllHipHop: Can you describe a moment of adversity personal and in your career?  Shanice Parker: It’s always difficult recognizing when to pull back and relax. At times I feel like I can be doing a lot more but you have to recognize that whatever is meant to happen will happen. I believe one of the best lessons I learned from my struggle was that the less thought I put into my next move, the more I could think freely and make decisions without any pressure on myself. Less pressure on yourself makes you think clear. AllHipHop: What keeps you from giving up?  Shanice Parker: The people I choose to surround myself with has been the background to my strength. They have been helpful in reminding me of where I come from and where I am now. I also see how my hard work and diligence has influenced those around me as well. Giving up is not an option when you have nothing but strength surrounding you whether you find the strength within yourself or the people you surround yourself by. You are only as powerful as the people you keep around you. AllHipHop: Who inspired you to become a leader or boss?  Shanice Parker: To be truthful I believe I am a natural born leader. But I took that leap to become a boss when I decided to follow my dreams to work in the production field and all doors were closed. It’s not in me to quit so I decided to create my own door. I feel like my family instilled that hustling work ethic. I never seen anyone in my family not work hard to get what they wanted. AllHipHop: How do you balance work, and personal life?  Shanice Parker: I always like to be real with myself and recognize when something is reeling in too much of my attention. I love to work a lot and I realized that it plays a huge role on how well my body operates when its being over worked. That makes it easier to decide when I need to tend to my personal life. Its strange to say but somehow work finds a way to connect to my personal life at times. And at that time I am enjoying the best of both worlds. AllHipHop: What do you like to do for fun?  Shanice Parker: I like to drive around see new environments, listen to music, dance, sing, watch movies from time to time not all the time though. I also find Instagram entertaining and with that comes a lot of comedy. If you know me you’ll know I like to laugh a lot! AllHipHop: Please provide what it means to you to be a powerful and influential woman in the […]

Hip-Hop Rumors: Mendecees Confirms New Baby?

For months there has been speculation on if LHHNY star Yandy Smith was expecting a new baby with her fiancé Mendeecees, who was released on bail back in March. Well Mendeecees confirmed via Instagram that they will be welcoming the arrival of a new baby girl very soon.   Yandy also shared the news: Mendeecees may be moving on with life, but those drug trafficking charges are still hanging over his head. Hopefully everything works out for the couple, they seem good together.

Love and Hip-Hop’s Mendeecees Harris Appears In Court For Drug Charge

(AllHipHop News) Mendeecees Harris, star of VH1’s Love and Hip-Hop and long-time boyfriend of fellow reality star/artist manager Yandy Smith, pleaded not guilty to a federal drug conspiracy charge on Friday according to democratandchronicle.com. Harris and two other defendants, his brother Tyrus Harris and Ronald Walker, were arrested last year for allegedly trafficking over $2.5 million worth of heroin and cocaine between Rochester and New York City from 2005 to 2012. [ALSO READ: Love and Hip Hop Star Mendeecees Harris Accused Of Trafficking Drugs] Around $1.5 million, $406,000 in jewelry, and a 2012 Land Rover associated with the case were confiscated by authorities. If convicted Harris could face up to 20 years in prison. Frank Sherman, the Assistant U.S. Attorney assigned to the case, asked the judge that Harris be denied bail and held in custody until the trial begins. Harris’ lawyer Donald Thompson will request a detention hearing that will be scheduled at a court conference set for Wednesday of this week. Thompson also revealed that the defense team has not received information on all the evidence that the prosecution will be presenting at trial. The court has sealed the search warrants used to raid the properties in New York City so many of the specific details in the U.S. Attorney’s case against Harris and his co-defendants is unknown. Last month Harris was acquitted of aggravated sexual assault, criminal sexual assault, and child endangerment charges in a separate case in Bergen County, New Jersey. Love & War: Tahiry on Joe Budden, Her New Music and Almost Becoming a Cop

Tahiry Jose will forever be linked to two things she can not shake. Her devil (Joe Budden) and her ass (pun slightly intended). Both have helped her become a fixture on blog sites and magazine covers long before VH1 came calling for Love & Hip Hop New York. You can almost argue that the Dominican bombshell and the No Love Lost rapper’s YouTube adventures back in 2009 was the catalyst for that show’s creation. However, it is 2013 and the Dimes & Rhymes cover beauty has grown from an internet baby into a primetime starlet right before our eyes. Jose, 33, is now a philanthropist, an actress and recently released her first song as a recording artist entitled, “Devil”.  Tahiry spoke in an EXCLUSIVE AllHipHop interview about the making of her song “Devil”, if she will continue dissing Joe Budden’s new girlfriend, Kaylin Garcia and how she almost could have got you arrested. [ALSO READ: Tahiry’s New Song “Devil”] AllHipHop: I have to ask you about this song “Devil” that has made its rounds through the internet. You sat down with some writers for the song so how involved were you in the writing process? Tahiry: I sat down with Shannon Jones.  I was all the way involved. I was f*cken going through it. This was done months and months ago. At the moment, I heard the hook when I was in the studio with Shannon and said “That’s my hook!” This is Tahiry who is just learning, I’m still like “That’s my hook!” It developed into something. You got this hook about a devil that I can relate to because we woman always have a devil we can  never get away from. So you start tapping into your past. So you start thinking about your past situations that are never ending. Speaking with Shannon, we went back and forth with it until “Devil” was created. Were you worried about the reception? Because calling somebody a devil are fighting words. But it says your my Devil. [Laughs] So no matter how good or bad your are, you’re MY devil. Everybody has that person who is not good for you. Who is toxic. It’s not good for you but it’s never ending. I remember watching you back in 2009 when you were shy during your first interview. Now you are on magazine covers, starring in reality shows, doing songs and handling interviews like a pro. What changed in the past 3 or 4 years? Everything. I’m just evolving as a person. As a personality. As an artist. Basically growth. I started as an internet baby to being on covers.  Joe [Budden] and I first started something that I don’t think we knew would turn into what it did. How did music out of this? I didn’t see this coming. Neither did I. [Laughs] Music came from me going through my issues. It was therapeutic for me. Is this a serious endeavor? I started to play around and have fun with it and then I realized it was something I wanted to really grow in and I want to learn. It’ sreally new to me and I am taking it serious because I want to get better. Did you grow up in a musical household? Yes I did, but it was more so Spanish. I’m Dominican so it was more Salsa and meringue  Then Hip Hop the older I got. Then again, being in a relationship with someone who is a old soul. So I learned from him Kool & The Gang, Prince. Music has always been around me. I remember walking in to the booth and was like “Oh god” and then going back for more. Then going to see a vocal coach. To me it’s proving to myself to prove that I grow at something. Speaking of your upbringing in Harlem. I just saw the latest episode of Love & Hip Hop and I have to ask. Did you take boxing lessons or something at some point in your life? Oh my god I am so so so so ashamed of that little part right there. I..I..I got out of character. Yeah I took some boxing classes here and there as a workout. I’m in the gym a lot so yeah, took a few. [Laughs] I remember Joe told Raqi [Thunder] in an episode, “One thing that would have happened was Tahiry would have whooped your ass. Do you have a violent history? No, No. I’m actually pretty sweet. But once you take me there… Again, I should have known better. I am not proud of that moment. But through editing, you guys only see about ten seconds of anything when we’ve been going back and forth for hours. But I am not happy about that whatsoever. But I can defend myself. [Laughs] [ALSO READ: J.R. Smith fined $25k For Tahiry Booty Pic] Since the show is still being taped, do you watch some of the episodes and think, “Aww man, they should have shown this?” Absolutely. Of course. I have watched these episodes more than once. Even your train of thought is different when you ‘re watching yourself like ‘damn I should have known better.’ Another thing, we are not in control of the editing. So they edit it and you watch it and it’s like ‘wait a minute.’ I didn’t flip that quick. It actually took me an hour or two. But the viewer doesn’t get to see that. How has it been doing press and promoting the show with people from the show, specifically Joe Budden, that you may not get along with? Umm, it depends on the day. Sometimes it’s good. Sometimes we don’t speak. For the most part, I knew most of the cast members before I decided to get on. We’re all cool. We’re able to separate work from personal. Sometimes we intertwine both. You aren’t just beauty but you have brains and a Bachelor’s degree from John Jay College of Criminal Justice. What were trying to do with that? What was your original goal? My original thought was anything in the […]

DUDE FROM LOVE AND HIP-HOP ARRESTED? YO! This dude is soft as baby food on the show Love & Hip-Hop, but maybe he is some kinda psycho thug in real life? Mendeecees, the male friend of Yandy Smith, is already accused of child molestation. If that wasn’t enough, he’s reportedly caught a case in the drug arena. He turned himself in the other day. Peep what they are saying over at http://tattletailzz.com! Mendeecees Harris allegedly turned himself in for outstanding drug charges. Mendeecees Harris is also facing separate charges up to 20 years in jail for sexual assault with a minor, that trial begins tomorrow January 29, 2013. Hip-Hop Rumors: Are Yandy And Mendeecees Being Erased From Love And Hip-Hop?

You know about the scandal with Mendeecees of Love and Hip-Hop right? I hate to state the obvious, so hit this link if you don’t know. RELATED : Love and Hip-Hop Cast Member Accused of Child Molestation Here is what Jacky Jasper said: HSK Exclusive – Yandy Smith’s decision to pull her baby daddy into the reality television spotlight is one that she may regret. That’s because HSK has exclusively learned 34-year-old Mandeeceess Harris’ upcoming trial – over charges he sexually assaulted a minor – has led Love & Hip Hop producers to cut both Yandy and her charged child sex predator from the cast. Sources say their decision stems from fear of possible heat they may generate over their lack of background checks of their cast. That’s why we’re told producers of the VH1 reality show were previously busy editing out the ousted pair from their most recently broadcast episode. Don’t believe me.. Ask Mona Scott Young. This news comes as Mandeecees Harris is being reported as a man also working with NYPD as an informant, in hopes of landing favors from the court and a more lenient sentence for his crimes against children. Here’s the drop: “Mandeecees and Yandy haven’t been on twitter for over four days now. They used to be on twitter all the time. Nobody is missing Yandy’s big mouth. She’s gone, and her rat bastard baby daddy should be castrated.” They keep us talking, but if we stop talking about them then they should worry! -illseed. Love & Hip-Hop Cast Member On Trial for Child Molestation

(AllHipHop News) Days after the highly anticipated debut of Love & Hip-Hop’s third season, one of the show’s newest characters is at the center of another drama. Yandy Smith’s baby dady is in hot water for allegedly having a sexual relationship with a minor. Mandeecees Harris, a 34-year-old actor on the VH1 reality show “Love and Hip-Hop,” is charged with performing various sexual acts with a 15-year-old girl and inappropriately touching her at his former home in Lodi. Bergen County prosecutors allege that Harris asked for and received oral sex from the girl and fondled her on various occasions between September 2009 and April 2010. He was arrested later that year and charged with aggravated sexual assault, criminal sexual contact and child endangerment. If convicted, he faces up to 20 years in prison. Harris remains free without bail. He was not present in state Superior Court in Hackensack during jury selection Wednesday. Court officials expect to have a full panel of jurors by Thursday, and attorneys are scheduled to make opening remarks on Jan. 29. [NorthJersey.com] Here we thought Yandy’s biggest problem with Mandeecees was him hitting the club the night of their baby shower. Let’s see if they address this on the show.

Hip-Hop Rumor: Is Yandy from Love & Hip Hop Preggers???!!!

Sources are telling us EXCLUSIVELY that Kimbella isn’t the only Love & Hip Hop co-star that’s pregnant. We hear the sassy and business minded Yandy Smith is also pregnant. Yandy isJim Jones’ former manager and just joined the cast this season. She is reportedly pregnant by her long time boyfriend, the same boyfriend who handed Jim Jones a beat down in Harlem earlier this year for disrespecting his woman. I wonder if the pregnancy will be part of the story line next season and if we’ll get to meet her boyfriend. Either way, congratulations to Yandy and her boo. Just for laughs, below is a video of Jim Jones catching a fade in Harlem from Junior Mafia. Watch Jimmy run like he stole something, just shameful!! This video got me thinking, no wonder Jim keeps Chrissy around, she’s his muscle! [youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hJSK3DoFrog&w=420&h=315]
