I asked Brian Coleman, author of "Check the Technique: Vol 2”, whether this reason changed his opinion of what he thought of Masta Ace Incorporated: "The stuff they were making was very dark, very murky. The SlaughtaHouse single is amazing. It's just so underrated because it is so over the top…people didn't get it…It was obviously a joke." Brian continued " I think it was a great move on Masta Ace's part because he's clearly since then gone back and forth…He just goes with just whatever he feels at the moment. I think that the group was great. I think that Slaughterhouse is as good, if not better then Take A Look Around which was a great record too.
