The graphic design and video editing field has attracted a lot of attention lately, especially from young people. With the rise of platforms like YouTube and increasing demand for digital content, many young and talented individuals have entered the space and are trying to make a name for themselves in the crowded marketplace. But some, like LuckyDesigns, have cemented their spots.
Lucky Nunthatee, popularly known by his artistic name LuckyDesigns, has built a solid brand as a graphic designer and video editor at only 16. He worked with notable YouTubers like KSI, IShowSpeed, DTG, TBJZL, and many more, with his designs getting massive acknowledgment globally. The young designer has been inspiring creativity and perseverance among young people through his journey, unwavering dedication to his craft, and unique style.
LuckyDesigns started to design when he was 11. He didn’t attend graphic design or video editing schools to learn how to design but is self-taught, making his journey more difficult.
Being a self-taught artist, LuckyDesigns watched tutorial videos on YouTube and also experimented with different tools and software. He spent hours each day after school creating designs and editing various videos, which was hard considering he didn’t have anyone present to guide him. But LuckyDesigns didn’t give up.
LuckyDesigns knew graphic design was something he wanted to pursue, and it was more than a hobby. LuckyDesigns continued practicing, helping him to find his style. It also gave him the confidence to showcase his work online.
Being true to his creativity, LuckyDesigns has produced high-quality work that meets client demands. He is widely known for his YouTube banners, cover art, Twitter headers, Twitch designs, and YouTube thumbnails, which he often shares on his social media, where he has close to 400K followers.
The graphic design field presents a lot of opportunities today as the world goes digital. However, like any other venture, getting to the top is difficult. There are many challenges, and it is even more difficult when you are a self-taught graphic designer and video editor,” LuckyDesigns says. “People will feel like you don’t have what it takes and are less likely to hire you. But this doesn’t mean you should give up.”
Through his journey, LuckyDesigns shows other young creatives that it is possible to become successful graphic designers and video editors through self-education. You just need to believe in yourself, be patient, and invest in your creativity and brand.
The biggest challenge for LuckyDesigns was trying to stay creative. When he started, he didn’t know much about graphic design and didn’t have many styles to work with, which saw him take a lot of time to complete tasks.
While LuckyDesigns still occasionally struggles with creativity, investing in his style has greatly helped him stay up to date with trends and the latest technologies in the industry. He also found inspiration in successful designers and editors.
As it continues to grow, LuckyDesigns aims to continue building its reputation and collaborating with new and upcoming YouTubers in the industry while inspiring others to pursue their passions with creativity and perseverance.
