Today, Cinematic Music Group is proud to announce a partnership with Machine Entertainment and Chicago’s G Herbo (formally known as Lil’ Herb). Cinematic, the label behind the careers of the likes of Big K.R.I.T., Joey Bada$$, Mick Jenkins, and more has partnered with Chicago label Machine Entertainment, G Herbo’s own imprint, 150 Dream Team, and 1 Shot Management. The first release from this new partnership will be Herbo’s mixtape Ballin Like I’m Kobe, which is expected very soon. The Cinematic partnership will also see G Herbo’s debut album come to life in 2016. Herb will also be heading out on this fall’s Smoker’s Club Tour. The rest of the lineup details to be announced soon.
The 19-year old G Herbo hails from “Terror Town” in the Eastside of Chicago, one of the most notorious crime-ridden areas in the country. This deadly and competitive environment has groomed Herbo to become this generations next great voice for the voiceless. G Herbo has the life experience, lyrical dexterity, and the vocal inflection of someone far beyond his years. No one in the game paints a more vivid picture of young street life in America like G Herbo. Stay tuned for more news about Ballin Like I’m Kobe, but for now check out the music video for his mixtape track “No Limit” below.
