Rapper Big Pooh’s poignant “Words Paint Pictures” EP produced entirely by Apollo Brown is chock-full of themes of race relations and the black experience in America. The visual treatment for the project’s first single “Stop” (featuring Steve Roxx) is released today. Directed by Jay Brown, the video is consistent with Pooh’s vivid tale of a classic case of racial profiling in a racist police stop, and eulogizes Oscar Grant, Mike Brown, and those killed by brutal law enforcement. With the current climate of matters concerning police brutality, this song resonates especially deeply.
