Nothing is more pleasing to an emerging artist than getting a nod from someone in their city that has paved the way and for Billyracxx, a
Houston transplant by way of Orlando, that moment came after showing his 20-minute visual album “Flamingos and Finches” to the big homie, Trae Tha Truth.
“Billy is most definitely unique.” Trae said of the up-and-comer. “The movie shows creativity without limits. I think it’s a good look for the younger side of Houston and as a big homie to the city, I salute him. Congrats and keep pushing.”
“Flamingos and Finches” gives glimpses in to the movement that is AnahataXMilytia, weaving increments of live shows and soundbites with random acts of both beauty and the macabre in a manner one can only describe as Lynchian; over a soundtrack that includes guest appearances by OG Maco and Greg Money.
The album portion of “Flamingos and Finches” will be released after Super Bowl weekend with a few surprises.
