(AllHipHop News) Jay Z is reportedly selling his one-fifth of one percent ownership in Brooklyn’s Barclays Center. According to Forbes, the Hip Hop mogul must get rid of his percentage of the arena because of his new Roc Nation Sports agency.
The Barclays has been appraised by the city of New York to be worth $741 million which means that Jay’s take is worth around $1.5 million, but he could garner more in the transaction. The “Holy Grail” performer already began selling his stake in the Brooklyn Nets franchise with new coach Jason Kidd forking over $500,000 for the rapper’s portion of the team.
Jay’s transition from sports team owner to sports agent began earlier this year when he signed New York Yankees second baseman Robinson Cano. Roc Nation Sports is now also home to Victor Cruz of the New York Giants, Kevin Durant of the Oklahoma City Thunder, Geno Smith of the New York Jets, and Skylar Diggins of the Tulsa Shock.
