According to The Hollywood Reporter, a Comedy Central spokesperson confirmed the famous skit from a 2004 episode of Chappelle’s Show was viewed over 600,000 times since Prince’s death on April 21. Eddie Murphy’s older brother Charlie helped write the sketch where he recalls a notable encounter with Prince in the 1980’s.

Prince would later use a picture of Chappelle dressed as him for the cover art to his 2013’s single “Breakfast Can Wait.” Murphy famously spoke about how Prince served him and his friends pancakes following their game of basketball.
