One of those occasions is Dave Chappelle’s classic “Charlie Murphy’s True Hollywood Stories” sketch featuring the tale of the “Purple Rain” singer playing basketball. Prince would later use a picture of Chappelle dressed as him for the cover art to his 2013’s single “Breakfast Can Wait.” Murphy famously spoke about how Prince served him and his friends pancakes following their game of basketball.
