(AllHipHop News) R. Kelly’s youngest child, Jaya, now goes by the name Jay after coming out as a transgender on social media.
Jay, born a female, says she has identified with being male since she was “6 or 7.” Now 13-year-old, Kells youngest says that the news isn’t really new and he has the full support of his mother.
“[My mom] was like, ‘Baby, you know I love you if you were bi, gay, [lesbian], you name it and I would still love you so much,” he said on Instagram.
According to a report by InTouch magazine, R. Kelly didn’t know about the transformation or the coming out.
He said: “[My mom] was very proud of me, I was like, ‘Thank you mum for accepting the fact that I’m a transgender. And same with my sister, she told me that she was proud of me, and respects me by calling me handsome and calling me her little brother now, and I love her for that, so you know it was great for me.”
Jay hopes to becoming a full transexual at some point.
“I believe I am a boy and want surgery, and the medication to help me [become] who I was supposed to be,” he said.
