We’ve loved attending every year because it has allowed us to play our part in discovering who has next! That hasn’t changed! While we will always throw our support to the current heavy hitters we still want to be a part of breaking those emerging artists who have voices we think you all should hear! During our daytime showcase, acts will perform block party style to a room of their peers and industry professionals such as DJ King Tech and Sway from “The World Famous Wake Up Show” (on Shade 45) as we celebrate artists to watch in 2014. The showcase will have performances by several artists off of the AllHiphop.com Top 50 of 2013 Artist List as well as special surprise performances and appearances from AllHipHop.com alumni. SXSW attendees can come network with Hip-Hop royalty as we celebrate good music and birthdays too! Chuck Creekmur, Grouchy Greg Watkins and Skyyhook will share their birthday cake with the masses as they bring the SXSW crowd into their own birthday celebration as well! (AllHipHop News) Shady Records artist Yelawolf hit the Monster Energy stage last week at the South By Southwest Festival in Austin, Texas in celebration of the release of his latest project Trunk Muzik Returns, and now the Alabama native has uploaded footage of the energetic event on his YouTube channel. Besides performing tracks from Trunk Muzik Returns, Yelawolf also took time to talk about being a “single artist” versus an “album artist” with XXL. “If it ends being that I have a single so be it, but looking back I may just not be the person that is built for that,” says Yelawolf. “I might just make albums… If I get a hit record cool man. If not, f*ck it.” Yelawolf is currently working on his sophomore LP tentatively titled Love Story. It is expected to be released later this year. In the meantime, Yelawolf dropped his sequel to 2010’s Trunk Muzik mixtape last week. The 10 track Trunk Muzik Returns is produced entirely by frequent collaborator WillPower. (AllHipHipHop News) Last night as part of our ongoing participation and coverage of SXSW, AllHipHop.com was a media sponsor for the #NewAtlanta Official SXSW Hip-Hop showcase brought to attendees in part by the HS8 Agency and Ballers Eve. With memorable breakout performances by Two9, Scotty ATL, Rich Homie Quan and others to prep the crowd Suite 101 on 5th St. was jam packed from beginning to the end. During Two9’s performance Taylor Gang members Tuki Carter, Chevy Woods, Sledgren and Will took the stage to enjoy the festivities also performing hit songs from their catalog as well including the epic anthem, “Taylor Gang.” Chevy also performed several hit songs from his own personal catalog before leaving the smoke filled stage.
