The allure of diamonds have always been captivating. Who could forget that James Bond and Kanye West taught us that “Diamond are Forever”? In Hip-Hop “bling bling” has always been a way to show your wealth and prowess, so it only made sense when Hip-Hop/Skate streetwear company Diamond Supply Co. started to shine. The 15-year old brainchild of designer, skater and entrepreneur Nick Tershay (aka Nicky Diamonds) was founded in 1998 originally as a skate hardware idea that has now grown into one of the most popular brands in the skate and Hip-Hop worlds. With athletes and entertainers like Jay-Z, Rihanna, Wiz Khalifa,, Curren$y, Kevin Durant and others wearing their gear, Diamond Supply Co built a brand that now has two flagship locations in San Francisco and New York. For SXSW this year Diamond Supply is hosting a VIP dinner co-hosted by Def Jam Recordings and including a gifting suite and pop-up shop. Joining in on the festivities this year Diamond Supply is bringing out August Alsina, Big KRIT, YG, Juelz Santana and Trinidad James. Yesterday AllHipHop caught up with the guys from Diamond Supply Co, and caught up with Philly Freeway who was scheduled to perform at their Thursday night show with Don Cannon.
