The 2015 REVOLT Music Conference was another one for the books. Preceding the action packed weekend, Sean “Diddy” Combs was honored with the keys to the city of Miami Beach by Mayor Philip Levine. The conference kicked off with a Welcome Ceremony at the Fontainebleau Hotel in Miami Beach, in advance of the incredible lineup of performances, panels, keynote speakers and events to take place throughout the weekend. Diddy took a moment to share the special moment with his mentor, Andre Harrell. Diddy reminded those in attendance that Harrell was the first to give him his start when he was an intern at Uptown Records. Mayor Levine named October 15th as “REVOLT Music Conference Day” to celebrate the opportunities that the conference continues to bring to the city and the youth. Diddy and Revolt’s CEO Keith Clinkscales explained that the purpose of the conference was to foster music, creativity and entrepreneurialism as well as to network, learn, and take advantage of being close to some of the entertainment industry’s biggest names. Following the ceremony, Clinkscales led a Q&A with Marc Ecko, the CEO of Mark Ecko Enterprises and Founder of Complex. Those also in attendance included Andre Harrell (REVOLT Music Conference Chair), Bill Talbert (President and CEO of Greater Miami Convention & Visitor Bureau), Keon Hardemon (City of Miami Commissioner), Philip Goldfad (President of Fontainebleau) and more.
