Coming up out of Atlanta in the beginning stages of this new melodic rap/trap wave, Peewee Longway, real name Quincy Williams, embodies a unique, unorthodox flow that contained vivid images and storytelling.
Growing up in a single-parent home alongside his brother and sister, the self-proclaimed”Blue M&M” had to quickly adapt and hustle for his dreams.
Now, Peewee Longway remains determined as hell, consistently unleashing bangers for his growing fanbase, deemed the “Lobby Runners.”

AllHipHop: Being from Atlanta, how does that play into your life and career?
Peewee Longway: It played a lot in my career by having a lot of swag and culture in Atlanta. It helped me to what’s going on in the streets and what’s going in the daytime. By me staying in Atlanta, it made me different than everybody else.
AllHipHop: Bring us back to your days with Thug.
Peewee Longway: I ain’t really tryna give you that info. When we first started — our first shows were in South Carolina. It actually was like didn’t nobody really know who we were at that time but the promoters.
AllHipHop: What is it like seeing his career blowup?
Peewee Longway: Amazing. I’m overwhelmed. I’m baffled right now. s##t we grew up together, so it’s amazing to me.
AllHipHop: You’re “On Dat Freestyle” is at over 6 million views on Youtube. Did you foresee it blowing up like this?
Peewee Longway: I did not think it would do 6 million views. Not no freestyle. I wasn’t going through nothing, I was just having fun. The energy was good.
AllHipHop: Talk about putting on that face mask and shooting the visual. Omar the director did that.
Peewee Longway: “I Can’t Get Enough” video. Talk about being on the floor and what your vision was. Also my director. Omar’s my video man, he shoots all my videos. We drive the boat, everybody got they own part. I told him whatever his vision he sees with me, I’ma do my part. Whatever he want me to do, I’ma do it.
AllHipHop: Can you elaborate on the intro scene with the Activist?
Peewee Longway: I don’t drink lean no more.
AllHipHop: Was it hard?
Peewee Longway: Nah it wasn’t hard because… I wouldn’t have even made this interview right now. It made me sluggish.
AllHipHop: You just unleashed “Fiji Water,” bring us back to that studio session.
Peewee Longway: Man it was the beat and the energy of the studio. I just really in my head was just going back and forth with the melody [hums melody]. Just went on the mic and tried it. I came out the booth, they were like “why’d you go that way?” I’m like s##t, I was playing and tried it. Kept it.
AllHipHop: You say you’re “still selling dope,” you still in the streets?
Peewee Longway: Nah I ain’t still in the streets. It’s just music, I’m just making it rhyme.
AllHipHop: What can we expect on your forthcoming project
Peewee Longway: The Blue M&M 4? “Fiji Water”! We got “Wakanda.” We got “Up Up Up.” You can expect a whole lotta bangers. If you following the series, if you a fan of the Blue M&M series, then you gon’ fan of The Blue M&M 4.
AllHipHop: Any features?
Peewee Longway: I got Quavo, you know I’ma keep the Migos on something. I got Key Glock on there. I got a couple of my artists like Wicced and MPA HeadShakur. I ain’t really go outside the box this time.
AllHipHop: Talk about getting a rare feature from NBA Youngboy. How’d that happen?
Peewee Longway: That’s my lil homie. You call that rare?
AllHipHop: I don’t think he f##ks with a lot of people.
Peewee Longway: He don’t f##k with a lot of folks, but I’m rare. So I guess we both rare then.
AllHipHop: How’d you link with him?
Peewee Longway: Caveman or somebody hit me up saying he wanted to come over to my studio because he was in Atlanta. He was like “I gotta go see Longway, I came up listening to Longway.” They came up f##king with me so when he came, we just connected. Just like a little brother all over again.
AllHipHop: What do you like about his music?
Peewee Longway: He’s real and he’s solid. He’s speaking from his heart and his gut. He got a lot of pain that he’s letting out, so I love it.
AllHipHop: What is it you want fans to get from your story?
Peewee Longway: Get rich or die tryin’.
AllHipHop: Did 50 influence you?
Peewee Longway: Nah, 50 made that statement and we all gotta go by it. That’s a real statement regardless. Get rich or die tryin’.
AllHipHop: Bring us back to the days Gucci signed you without even hearing your music.
Peewee Longway: We brothers man. We came from the streets together. When somebody lends you a helping hand — how you f##k with your folks, that’s why you do for your folks. To help somebody, I would do that. That’s what type s##t go on in our bond. I can’t speak on the whole Atlanta, but that’s our bond.
AllHipHop: What’s the best piece of advice he’s given you?
Peewee Longway: Treat the rap game like the trap. You hustle hard. Hustle hustle hustle. God hard.
AllHipHop: What does it mean to have him featured on “f##k It”?
Peewee Longway: S##t, another night with Guwop. Come up to the studio, I told him “give me a record” and he sent that to me.
AllHipHop: Talk about starting your own imprint MPA BandCamp.
Peewee Longway: Trying to start a little label. Just trying it come up on something. I don’t expect for it – well I expect it to do something, but the world grabbed it. Just stuntin’ on some CEO s##t and start a label.
AllHipHop: What are some goals yourself as an artist at this point of your career?
Peewee Longway: Try to get me some more artists who are bigger than me, some real thug trap s##t. Try to start some epic empire type s##t. Real label type s##t while I got my own life together.
AllHipHop: At what point did you realize this music thing was forreal?
Peewee Longway: When I started getting paid. [chuckles] Me and Thug started out with like $1500 for a show.
AllHipHop: What’s a normal day in the life? Walk us through.
Peewee Longway: Laughing, vibing, smoking weed. Eat one time a day.
AllHipHop: Why only once?
Peewee Longway: Because my timing be so messed up. When I do get an appetite, I don’t wanna.
AllHipHop: What’s the one meal you’re eating?
Peewee Longway: It might be a bag chips. I’m picky on that food, I don’t like anything. My momma used to always cooked for me so being on the road all the time, it just kinda f##ked my appetite up. I’d have to get store food, that s##t messed me up.
AllHipHop: What does you mom think of the raps?
Peewee Longway: She’s proud of her son. It just came out of nowhere. She’s proud of her son like a motherf##ker because I ain’t been doing nothing else.
AllHipHop: How would you describe your sound?
Peewee Longway: I wouldn’t describe it. I’m indescribable. I can’t describe myself because one day, I might be this person. One day, I might be that person.
AllHipHop: Three things you need in the studio?
Peewee Longway: Vibe. Vibe. Vibe. All my lobby runners know what I’m talking about. When you put it out, they gon’ know.
AllHipHop: What’s the best encounter you had with a fan?
Peewee Longway: I had a little girl faint at a show. I thought it was fake. I was just like “ya’ll good?”
AllHipHop: Who’s in your Top 5?
Peewee Longway: Thug, Offset, the whole Migos setup. Future, little Roddy Ricch. He going crazy. Man all them boys going crazy in my Top 5, I don’t know how to pick that s##t. But Thug though for sure.
AllHipHop: What’s your favorite Thug song?
Peewee Longway: I don’t have a favorite Thug song, each song hard. When they sound amazing on all songs, when they just elevate elevate elevate, you can’t pick one favorite. All that s##t going crazy.
AllHipHop: Do you freestyle or write your s##t down?
Peewee Longway: I freestyle. I don’t write.
AllHipHop: What inspires you creatively?
Peewee Longway: My two kids. Me. My momma. My girl. Everything inspires me. Just walking outside, being free.
AllHipHop: How old are your kids?
Peewee Longway: One is 10 and one is 1.
AllHipHop: What’s the biggest lesson you learned in fatherhood?
Peewee Longway: Being responsible, just being a daddy. Ain’t no lessons learned in fatherhood, you just gotta boss up and be a man at that point. All the bulls##t to the side then, you learn your lesson when the baby come out.
AllHipHop: Why should people f##k w/ you?
Peewee Longway: I’m a really good person. I’m a fun person. I’m Longway.
