Guerilla Black Pleads Guilty To Credit Card Fraud Scheme

Compton Rapper Guerilla Black Pleads Guilty To Elaborate Fake Credit Card Conspiracy

(AllHipHop News) Guerilla Black (Charles Williamson) has pleaded guilty to federal conspiracy, unauthorized access to a protected computer to facilitate fraud, access device fraud, bank fraud, and aggravated identity theft charges on Tuesday (July 9).

Prosecutors alleged the Compton rapper got access to over 27,000 stolen credit card numbers with around 1000 of those numbers providing $150,000 in stolen funds. The total amount of financial loss has not been calculated.

According to the government, Williamson bought the numbers from computers hackers who managed to lift the card information from a restaurant and restaurant supply store in the Seattle area.

Authorities say that Black presented fake credit cards during the time he was awaiting trial. He was then re-arrested and held in custody.

The 33-year-old now faces up to five years in prison and a $250,000 fine for the conspiracy and computer fraud charges, up to 15 years and $250,000 fine for the device fraud charge, up to 30 years and $1 million fine for the bank fraud charge, and a minimum 2 year sentence for the identity theft charge.

Two co-conspirators have already been sentenced for the plot. 22 -year-old Dutch hacker David Schrooten got a 12 year sentence earlier this year, and Christopher Schroebel, 21, was sentenced to 7 years in 2012.

Guerilla Black is best known for his voice that resembles The Notorious B.I.G. and his song “Compton” off 2004’s Guerilla City album.

Black is scheduled to be sentenced on October 10th.
