Hot 97’s Cipha Sounds and Drewski have decided to address the issue of New York rap support by forming #Themvmt. The first release of the collective is the “Banned From Radio” which finds Maino, Bodega Bamz, Chinx, Troy Ave, Mack Wilds and Norega’s protege City Boy Dee rapping over the iconic 1998 “Banned From T.V.” record.
Cipha Sounds organized for all of the artists on “Banned From Radio” to perform at The Lox’s Trinity EP release concert last Friday(December 27th) at Webster Hall.
