Kevin Hart Unveils "The Wedding Ringer" In Houston

KEVIN HART & JOSH GAD STOPPED IN HOUSTON TO SHOW THEIR UPCOMING FILM “THE WEDDING RINGER”

AllHipHop was on hand in Houston on December 11 for an advance screening of comedian Kevin Hart’s upcoming film The Wedding Ringer. Coming on the heels of an appearance in Chris Rock’s latest Top 5, Hart is once again preparing to take center stage with what is shaping up to be a comedic hit.

Hart stars as Jimmy Callahan, a creative businessman who has somehow turned filling in as someone’s best man into an entire industry. After taking on a new client named Doug Harris (Josh Gad,) Hart’s character rounds up a rag tag group of hilariously awkward “groomsmen” in order to save Harris’ upcoming marriage. With a string of successful films including Ride Along, About Last Night, Think Like A Man and more, this film more than solidifies Hart as one of the most consistent comics in recent times. Also starring in the film are Jennifer Lewis, Affion Crockett, Cloris Leachman and more.

Hosted by 93.7 The Beat emcee and comic Rudy Rushduring the premiere Hart  was presented a special award in recognition of his $50,000 donation to Texas Southern University’s Ocean of Soul band. Immediately following the screening, Hart and Josh took the time to do a Q&A with fans and media alike. Also seen supporting the premiere was Grand Hustle emcee Trae Tha Truth.

When asked about the possibility of a sequel Hart explained, “We left it open to where we could come back and [possibly] revisit this movie in a second realm. But that all depends on the box office, at the end of the day, people speak.”
