The Deal Makers Conference Successfully Debuts As New Opportunity For Rising Artists


New York based branding and lifestyle company Ravenel Agency successfully brought their The Deal Makers Conference to Oklahoma City in an effort to connect hundreds of rising artists with industry vets and executives. Up next for the tour are stops in more than 10 cities including; Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Atlanta, Memphis, Cleveland and Seattle.

Led by Lenny Santiago (Roc Nation,) Eric Parler (Def Jam,) Young Sav (Maybach Music,) Steve Carless (CTE/Atlantic Records,) Vanessa Satten (XXL Magazine,) television producers Marycarmen Lopez (VH1,) publicist Alvina Alston and artist Stalley; the conference gave artists invaluable advice on breaking into the industry as well as one on one assessments of their work.

Says Ravenel Agency Founder/CEO Amber Ravenel,  “It was important for me to bring “The Deal Makers Conference” to Oklahoma City after discovering the wealth of undiscovered talent here. I wanted to expose OKC to the real deal makers of the business. My aim was for attendees to not only learn from seasoned professionals but to gain insight on the do’s and don’ts of the business. Participants also were afforded the change to secure a record deal on the spot…all of which happened to my delight.”

Also recognized during the event was current Oklahoma City Mayor Mick Cornett, who was presented with the first “Deal Maker of the Year Award” in recognition of the strides made during his three terms including; successfully lobbying for the Oklahoma City Thunder, the city’s first major sports team, as well as the implementation of quality of life infrastructure programs.

Said Mayor Cornett, “I hope everybody understands the incredible music scene Oklahoma City is about to create. There’s incredible investments pouring into this city to help create the type of venues, production facilities and not to mention the talent that will establish Oklahoma City as a hot bed for the industry.”
