Recently UnitedMasters, Ally, and Earn Your Leisure united to launch the Earn Your Masters (EYM) event in Austin for SXSW.
This event aimed to enlighten those who are often underrepresented in financial institutions about their resources.
To accomplish this mission, UnitedMasters and Earn Your Leisure created a stimulating environment for all guests that revolved around art, finance, and the prospects these offer young creators and musicians. EYM was a blend of content and activities that focused on these themes.
People in the spotlight at this event included Rashad Bilal and Troy Millings, Co-Founders of Earn Your Leisure, Erica Hughes, Multicultural Marketing Director at Ally, and Chaucer Barnes, Chief Marketing Officer at UnitedMasters, Inc.
With them were renowned artists Jadakiss and Ryan Leslie; along with newcomers Liana Banks, $hyfromdrate, BigXthaPlug and Kalyan Arnold who won the open call.
The daytime activities stretched for three-and-a-half hours until 5:50pm with free industry talks on topics relevant to creatives and entrepreneurs in art and music. Afterwards the nighttime performances from 6:30pm through 10pm began.
To kick off the conference was a special mixer hosted by Intuit called “The Break Through” featuring LaRussell on Thursday, 16th March from 5 to 6 o’clock.
