(AllHipHop News) Miami rapper Gunplay turned himself in the earlier today (October 10), for an armed robbery charge, according to his attorney.
Gunplay, born Richard Morales and another man are accused of robbing a man last April.
Gunplay’s attorney Michael Grieco told NBC-Miami that the rapper was wanted on a warrant for rmed robbery with a firearm.
“There was an alleged robbery that occurred in April, the robbery was not even reported until May,” Gunplay’s attorney Michael Grieco said.
Police claim that Gunplay and an accomplice named Randy Jones robbed the man at gunpoint in front of a Miami tax business, on April 13.
Both men are accused of stealing a gold chain, as well as the victim’s cell phone.
The victim was also struck in the head, and threatened with a handgun according to the arrest warrant, which was filed on May 18.
The rapper, who is signed to Rick Ross’ Maybach Music Group, is also charged with aggravated assault with a firearm
Gunplay’s lawyer said that he surrendered to authorities just before noon today.
