(AllHipHop News) In what has now become a concert series rather than a few appearances, three additional shows have been added to rap mogul Jay-Z’s planned kickoff for the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York City.
According to the New York Daily News, Jay-Z, will perform a total of eight shows between September 28 and October 6 at the arena in downtown Brooklyn, the new home of his co-owned Brooklyn Nets NBA basketball team.
There are reports that scalpers are selling approximately 6,700 tickets online, with prices ranging from $60 for upper tier seats to $6,800 for seats on the floor.
Most of the 7,000 tickets to the eight shows, however, will be sold for $29.50, but will reap upwards of $195 online.
“It’s going to be very difficult for the real fan to get hold of them and that has a lot to do with ticket distribution,” said Will Flaherty, an executive for SeatGeek, a ticket aggregating company.
Jay-Z was recently named Director for the new Barclays Arena firm that will oversee the home of the Brooklyn Nets.
The Barclays Center’s boasts a prime location along Brooklyn’s historic Atlantic Avenue, and with its 14,586 seats, is set to bring thousands of jobs to the rapper’s birthplace borough.
