(AllHipHop News) Former Fugee group member Lauryn Hill is facing prison time, after pleading guilty to tax violations today (June 29). Lauryn Hill pleaded guilty to three counts of failure to file tax returns, from 2005-2007. The singer admitted that she “intentionally and willingly” failed to report income of more than $1.8 million. Lauryn Hill is facing three years in prison when she is sentenced in November. She addressed the issue on a blog posts on her Tumblr blog. “For the past several years, I have remained what others would consider underground,” she wrote in a post. “I did this in order to build a community of people, like-minded in their desire for freedom and the right to pursue their goals and lives without being manipulated and controlled by a media protected military industrial complex with a completely different agenda.” According to reports, Lauryn Hill was released on $150,000 bail.
