Gucci Mane

An up-and-coming rapper’s attempt to catch the attention of a famous artist went wrong after Gucci Mane cut the man off mid-verse.

An aspiring rapper seized the opportunity to rap for Gucci Mane but was quickly shut down.

The Atlanta-based artist previewed his new album Breath Of Fresh Air at a recent listening party. However, one budding rapper thought it would be an ideal chance to catch the attention of the 1017 Global Music record label owner.

A clip from the event circulated online showing the plucky rapper attempting to spit for Gucci Mane. However, Gucci wasn’t trying to hear him. The clip begins with the rapper giving it his best shot before being interrupted after just a few seconds.

“Not right now,” Gucci Mane told the man as the DJ began playing, shutting the man off mid-verse. Check out the clip below.

Gucci Mane released his 16th studio album, Breath Of Fresh Air, on October 17. The project was originally slated to drop last week but was pushed back due to undisclosed reasons. The 24-track project includes guest appearances from the likes of J. Cole, 21 Savage, Young Dolph, Lil Baby, Key Glock, Kodak Black, DaBaby and more.

In an interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe, Gucci Mane revealed he took a different approach to the album.

“I’m just not in the mood to hear a whole bunch of drilling and killing, and this and that,” he explained. “Not saying that I haven’t did that before, but just right now, just let me just kind of lead by example and show people that it is more to rap about than my opps and all that.”
