La’Monte’s Debut EP: She’s Around, A Masterpiece of Jazz and R&B Fusion

La’Monte’s musical journey began as a teenager when he learned to play the piano in just one year from a master musician.

La’Monte, a rising artist in the Rap and R&B scene, has released his highly anticipated debut EP album, “She’s Around,” which is now available for download on all major streaming platforms. This EP showcases La’Monte’s eclectic mix of jazz influences, calming piano melodies, orchestral forms, and acoustic rhythms in four original songs that are a generational representation of intimacy.

According to La’Monte, the music on the album has a modern twist but takes you back in time, reminiscent of a warm summer’s night drive or the cozy atmosphere of a live music-filled coffee shop. The intro track, “All I Ever Need is Her,” starts the album off with a subtle jazz delivery that is both mellow and alluring, drawing the listener in. The second track, “Tonight,” features low-fidelity piano notes that complement and contrast the third track, “She’s Around,” which brings in the sounds of the banjo inspired by the karate films of the 1970s. The EP concludes with “Take it Slow,” an outro track that brings the listener back to the jazz influences in which the album starts.

La’Monte’s musical journey began as a teenager when he learned to play the piano in just one year from a master musician. He initially started creating music with rap but later expanded his musical abilities with vocals and drew inspiration from pop and vintage R&B. His love of music and artistic expression has led him to blend his talents together, which includes creating traditional 2D content for other artists and producing comedic shorts. Currently, he is working on a fully-animated music video that he plans to release in the future.

For La’Monte, music is not just a language, but it is also an outlet and vice that helps him express his feelings. He shares that the EP was inspired by a girl who was a potential love interest and his passion for music. He hopes that through his words and music, he can convey his thoughts and feelings to his listeners. La’Monte has found a place where his artistic expressions are not only seen and heard but also felt.
