PREMIERE: Wil$on Addresses Loved Ones Being Incarcerated On New Single “Letter”

LISTEN TO THE L.A. RHYMER’S REFLECTION ON HIS “N-GGAS” BEING PUT IN CELLS

(AllHipHop News) There are over 2 million people incarcerated in federal prisons, state prisons, and local jails across this country.

In fact, the United States has more people behind bars than any other nation on the planet.

As a result, many Americans have to deal with friends and family members being locked away.

South Central artist Wil$on decided to address his connections to currently detained individuals on the new single “Letter.”

“So we all know mass incarceration is a big problem in the United States. ‘Letter’ is about having loved ones in the prison system,” the 22-year-old rhymer tells AllHipHop.com. “The song is basically how my friend Lonnie Williams and cousin Darion Thompson got there and the questions they ask about what’s going on in the outside world.”

Wil$on’s “Letter” was produced by Compton duo Cook&Jango, founders of the Busy Sounds collective.

The track will be included on the forthcoming Cuz I Felt Like It mixtape.
