“This one is going to be #1.”

Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson continues to expand his TV empire. The Hip Hop mogul’s G-Unit Films and Television company produces Starz’s Power franchise as well as ABC’s For Life.

According to Deadline, 50 Cent has now partnered with Kenya Barris to develop a new series for Netflix. The program will be based on Jackson’s 2009 best-selling book The 50th Law with author Robert Greene.

“Netflix now you know this is a problem, Kenya Barris is no joke and if me and you ain’t cool, you ain’t gonna make it. Let’s work!” posted 50 Cent on Instagram. The Queens, NYC native added, “This one is going to be #1 on Netflix, BOOM. The 50th Law. I GOT THE BEST WRITERS, @kenyabarris know we are not playing no games. Green Light Gang.”

The 50th Law, which is connected to Greene’s The 48 Laws of Power bestseller, is described as a semi-autobiographical account of 50 Cent’s life on the streets and in the boardroom. It was marketed as a strategy book for entrepreneurs.

Kenya Barris is best known for creating ABC’s Black-ish and Freeform’s Grown-ish. The Clark Atlanta University graduate produces and stars in BlackAF on Netflix as well. Jackson’s G-Unit Films and Television is also working on Power Book III: Raising Kanan and Black Mafia Family for the Starz network.
