REL entertainment has released the documentary, Soldiers United For Cash, an exclusive behind the scenes look at the late DJ Screw and the legendary Screwed Up Click. The 2-hour DVD features footage of Screw, along with Lil Flip, Big Moe, Z-Ro, and many more. DJ Screw, a pioneering practitioner of the “Chopped & Screwed” style, which slowed down songs to a relaxed melody, died in November 2000 due to a codeine overdose. He was 30.

50 Cent remains number one. The G-Unit general’s single “Candy Shop” holds onto the Billboard Hot 100 top spot for the third consecutive week. Along with “Candy Shop,” 50 has two other songs in the top 5 as “How We De,” his collaboration with The Game, and “Disco Inferno” are numbers 4 and 5, respectively. The Massacre, 50 Cent’s recent LP is also number one on the Billboard album charts after selling over one million units in less than a week.

Showtime movie called Getting Unstuck,” based on a true story about an HIV-positive lesbian talk-show producer. The movie is taken from a memoir of the same name and based on the real-life character Conscious (real name Merle Soden), who fought through an abusive childhood, drugs, homelessness, and HIV. Soden became a producer for Queen Latifah’s former talk show. Eve will work with Showtime president Robert Greenblatt, whose company executive-produces Eve’s UPN sitcom. The movie will “show [Eve] off in a way no one’s ever seen before,” Greenblatt told Variety.

Hip-hop mogul Dame Dash is preparing the first two releases for his newly formed Damon Dash Music Group. Beanie Sigel and Ol’ Dirty Bastard will lead off Dash’s post Roc-A-Fella venture with The B. Coming and A Son: Unique. Sigel’s third album will include guest appearances from Peedi Crakk, Redman, and Bun B. The Neptunes-produced single “Don’t Stop,” featuring Snoop Dogg has recently hit the airwaves. ODB’s Dash-headed project will finally be released April 12. The late Wu-Tang member’s album features clan brethren Raekwon, Method Man, and Ghostface, as well as several appearances by Macy Gray.
