AHH Stray News: Queen Latifah Launches Perfume Line

Rapper-turned-Hollywood powerhouse Queen Latifah is set to launch a new line of perfume scheduled to hit stores in 2009. The award winning actress and Cover Girl spokesperson has partnered with Fort Lauderdale, Florida -based Parlux Fragrances, which has produced scents for Paris Hilton, GUESS? and Jessica Simpson. “Scent expresses a woman’s confidence and sensuality,” Latifah told AllHipHop.com. “It’s how she embraces her body, her mind and her strength. For me, beauty really does start on the inside. It’s like a state of mind, a state of love if you will. So I see fragrance as just a natural expression of this state of love.” According to Parlux’s CEO, Neil J. Katz, the fragrance, is still in the development stages. The new line will be released internationally, shortly after it’s American roll out next year.
