Big Sean's 'Dark Sky Paradise' Hits No.1

THE D-TOWN SPITTER SCORES HIS FIRST NO. 1 ALBUM

Big Sean’s dark sky paradise just got brighter. His third album has landed at the no. 1 spot of the Billboard 200 with 173,000 units moved its first week, making this his first no. 1 album.

This sales number is comprised of traditional album sales, track equivalent albums and the number of streams.

Dark Sky Paradise sold 139,000 traditional album copies, which makes this his biggest sales week ever. His first album, Finally Famous, debuted at no. 2 in 2011 with 87,000 copies sold while his sophomore effort Hall of Fame also debuted at no. 3 with 72,000 sold. DSP actually sold more than the 140,000 units that Billboard predicted last week.
