Bow Wow Joins Campbell Soup’s $100 Million Campaign

Rapper Bow Wow has joined with Campbell’s Soup, as part of a $100 million dollar advertising campaign, seeking to bring the soup maker out of slight slump. Campbell’s sales were down 6.3%, bringing in over a billion dollars, while the rest of the soup market was up 5.3%. The new spots are based on "reality television" and feature the Food Network’s Gordon Elliott, bursting into the homes of real families, unexpectedly. In one of the three scripted plots, Elliot enters the home of Bow Wow and the two square off in a game of basketball. The ad featuring Bow Wow is an attempt to snag a bigger share of the childrens market. The advertisements begins running Aug. 18.
