The idea is the brain child of a San Jose promoter witnessed a group of local rappers freestyling and contacted people about a "scene vs. scene" battle. The event, titled Sick N’ Tired 2 will take place at The Gallery in San Jose, at 7 P.M. The battle is billed as "The Bay Vs. Central Cali." "It’s going to show the talent that lies in between the Bay Area and Los Angeles," one of the organizers, Sam Hansen told the Fresno Bee. "It shows that there’s a growing scene here and that we’re hungry, and we want our recognition. This is the perfect opportunity." People who want to attend the event can ride on a bus charted by the promoters. A bus ticket will cost $37, which covers the trip, admission to the event, an event T-shirt and a souvenir Central Cali foam hand. The promoters have put a poll on their website www.centralcali.com , allowing locals from the area to vote for the best emcees and b-boys to represent the area.
