Chance the Rapper Talks #BlackLivesMatter; Calls #AllLivesMatter “Bullsh#t” in Hot 97 Interview

CHANCE RECENTLY ARRIVED ON HOT 97, AND HAD SOME THINGS TO SAY ABOUT THE MOVEMENT.

Chance the Rapper has been an artist known for his uplifting perception in Hip Hop. He’s a guy that wants people to unite from anywhere, including inner-city Chicago. In his recent interview with New York radio station Hot 97, Chance took some time to talk about the Black Lives Matter movement.

“I think the only thing that’s really going to make a change in terms of how we feel as citizens in terms of safety and our relationship with the police, is if we start seeing more federal indictments, arrests, and convictions of police officers. I think is a huge campaign that is important and integral to our advancement as a people…

Where we can’t always be , we all still understand that Black Lives Matter. Whether you’re a black man or a man of another race, you understand that Black lives matter…”

Following comment on the movement, Chance also called out the statement “All Lives Matter” as some “bullsh*t.”

“Its a weird combative response to the movement…it’s just weird that the name of a movement that’s important is in 2015, and we still have tell people that, and when people attack that movement they have to be attacking the entire statement of Black Lives Matter”

In the interview, Chance also talks about working with acts like Snakehips, new projects, and much more. Check out the video below.
