(AllHipHop News) 90s west coast rapper Coolio has avoided jail time, as he was recently placed on 3 years probation and ordered to complete 45 days of community service for a September LAX gun case.
As a condition to his sentence the rapper will have the opportunity to have his charge reduced to a misdemeanor if he stays on his best behavior within the next year.
Coolio is forbidden to carry or own a firearm in that time span.
The MC’s current legal woes stem from a September 17 incident at LAX in which TSA discovered a stolen, loaded gun in a bag eventually determined to be his own.
Coolio was previously facing up to three years in state prison for one felony count of possession of a firearm by a felon.
