Budding entrepreneur and acclaimed mix-tape DJ Whoo Kid seeks to expand his growing media empire with his latest venture, POW! Magazine. POW!, which borrows its name from a run of successful mixtapes DJ Whoo Kid released, is set to premier this Christmas with the inaugural issue dubbed “Hip Hop vs. Hollywood,” featuring Mobb Deep and Steve-O on the cover. As an added bonus, Whoo Kid plans to distribute more than 50,000 free copies of Pow! to lucky fans over the course of the holiday season. Future issues will be highlighted by un-cut interviews with Samuel L. Jackson, Akon, Donald Trump, Jason Stathan, Regina Hall, Chamillionaire, Snoop (from The Wire), Lloyd Banks and many more. In addition to the new mag, the Shadyville DJ currently hosts POW! Radio, from midnight-2AM on NY’s Hot 97, as well as, Sirius’ Shade 45 Channel, every Saturday from 8AM to 8PM for Hollywood Saturdays on G-Unit Radio. Whoo Kid also recently launched a watch line with jewelry company Avianne and is currently growing Shadyville, his management and marketing company which handles the careers of several artists and producers.
