(AllHipHop News) Memphis rapper Don Trip recently announced that he will be releasing his mixtape “Guerrilla” on February 27th in association with DJ Drama’s Gangsta Grillz series of mixtapes.

The feature driven project gives fans a chance to hear Don Trip alongside some of the game’s hottest artists, including Yo Gotti, Juicy J, Wale, 2 Chainz, and up-and-coming artists Starlito, Psyko Young Dolph and Arlon.

Production comes from Cool and Dre, Sapp, The Renegades, The Dope Boyz, Ensayne Wayne and others.

“I approached this project as if it was my album, so I gave it my all. It’s only a mixtape because its free, it’s really much more,” Don Trip told in an exclusive interview about his project.

In addition to the upcoming album, Don Trip plans to debut his new video, “Shut Up,” exclusively on AllHipHop on February 27th.

Last week in an interview with Don Trip, he explained his reason for recent Tweets about having no desire to battle rap other artists.

While the Trip says the Tweets weren’t directed at anyone in particular, Don Trip let it be known that he is as real as it gets.

“For some reason people assume that’s the way to get at me, or I guess take glory from me. Or people feel like that’s their way in the game, or feel like that’s they way to get on, by making a battle rap or diss against me,” Don Trip told “The way I am, I take everything personal, you know I take every word serious, no matter what it is. So if you make a record and in your record you come and shoot me and any violent acts or you name my family and all that, I’m taking that to the heart, I don’t know no other other way. Where I’m from when you say to that, people take heed to that. If he wasn’t on a beat people wouldn’t overlook what people saying.”

Don Trip’s Guerrilla with DJ Drama’s Gangsta Grillz is out this February 27.
