(AllHipHop News) DRAM has been hinting at a joint project with Erykah Badu since 2016. The two vocalists did collaborate for the Big Baby DRAM song “WiFi,” but the world has yet to see the two come together for a full-length effort.

The lack of a DRAM/Badu LP is not because of any bad blood. Revolt interviewed the Virginia singer-songwriter about his friendship with the Queen Of Neo-Soul.

“I think what draws us to each other – me and Erykah – is the fact that there’s so much musical talent. We’re both made of music. We both have an extreme respect and love for one another’s craft,” DRAM said. “We work good together, we sound good together, and we honestly talk about damn near everything.”

Last year, DRAM took part in AllHipHop‘s “My Five Firsts” series. He talked about his first meeting with Ms. Badu.

“That sh-t was lit. This was down at SXSW [Festival]. It was at one of the sponsored shows where she headlined as a DJ. I was on the bill as well. We had been conversing, but that was the first time we met in person,” recalled the LoveRenaissance/Atlantic recording artist. “I went into her dressing room. It was so dope. A few days later, we ended up linking up and working in the studio. That was even more lit. It was pretty monumental.”
